Sci-fun is an exciting programme organised by our college under the guidance of our professor Dr. Anna Neena George. This programme was inspired by Arvind Gupta.
Under this programme we visited 6 schools to teach students different complex scientific concepts in a simple and fun filled way.
Our entire science batch took different concepts....
My experiment or model called REPELLING BALLS explained the concept of centrifugal force..
It was a very good experience to be the part o the Sci-fun programme.
Repelling Balls
In this set up the balls in the glasses get
separated when the glasses are spun.
MATERIALS REQUIRED: Plastic glasses, plastic balls, cello tape
PRINCIPLE: In this experiment, the balls in the glasses get
separated when the glasses are spun because of the centrifugal force.
Centrifugal force is an apparent force that is felt by an object moving in a
curved path that acts outwardly away from the center of rotation.
